How to write a clear complaint
If you need to complain about a home repair issue, a short, calm, specific message gets better results than a long angry one.
- Say who you are and give any account, order or reference number.
- Describe what happened in a few sentences, with dates.
- Say exactly what you want: a refund, a repair, a correction or an explanation.
- Give a reasonable deadline, such as 10 or 14 days.
- List what you attached, and send copies, never your originals.
Read it once more before you send it. Remove anything insulting, and keep a copy of what you sent and when.
